No, a tourist visa does not permit marriage in India. To marry in India, a foreigner must obtain a specific marriage visa and fulfill the requirements of the Special Marriage Act, 1954. This includes providing valid identity documents, proof of residence, and fulfilling the legal requirements for marriage in India.
