I graduated in 2004 with my surname spelled “Lodh” (without the “i”) on my 10th, 12th, and graduation certificates. My passport and postgraduate degree certificate, however, correctly spell my surname as “Lodhi”. A new company I’m joining has noticed the discrepancy and asked me to get my old certificates changed. Is this even possible, considering how long ago I graduated? What options do I have?

While changing your old certificates after so long might be difficult, it is not impossible. You can try contacting your respective educational institutions and explain the situation. They may allow you to apply for a correction, though they may have specific procedures and policies. Alternatively, you can provide a supporting document like your passport or postgraduate degree certificate to the new company as proof of the correct spelling.
