The police complaint should be cancelled as per your settlement agreement. You should approach the police station where the complaint was filed to get it cancelled. Your lawyer can assist you with this process. To finalize the divorce, file a mutual consent divorce petition in the family court along with the settlement agreement. You can discuss your concerns about the lawyer’s fees with him directly.
