You should consult a lawyer to draft a legally binding agreement outlining the payment of the remaining ₹3 lakhs and the transfer of the power of attorney. This agreement should clearly stipulate that the divorce process will be completed upon payment and should be signed by your wife’s father in his capacity as her attorney.
