My wife and I, both government employees, have been together for 15 years and married in a temple ceremony in 2013. We recently registered our marriage in 2016 to live peacefully. I’m a Kshatriya and she’s a Brahmin. Can her parents legally try to cancel our marriage? I’m worried about their potential interference.

Under Indian law, your temple ceremony and subsequent registration constitute a valid marriage. Your wife’s parents cannot legally cancel your marriage due to your caste difference. Your marriage is legally recognized and protected, and their interference would not be legally permissible.
