My son, working in a private company in Nagpur, is facing constant emotional abuse from his wife. She constantly belittles him and tries to undermine his confidence. My wife and I went to Nagpur to try and calm the situation, but she was rude and disrespectful towards us. She’s even trying to ruin his reputation at work, claiming he’s dishonest and untrustworthy. She’s threatened to make his life at work impossible. My son is terrified, even afraid to eat at home. He’s considering taking drastic measures to escape this torture. Please guide me on what legal options are available to help him.

Your son can file a complaint with the police under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code for cruelty by a wife.
