While religious differences can be a source of tension, they are not a legal barrier to divorce in India. You have the right to seek separation or divorce based on grounds recognized under the Indian Divorce Act or the Special Marriage Act, depending on your marriage registration. Consulting a lawyer to understand your legal options and proceed accordingly is recommended.
