My husband and his family constantly pressured me for money, even though I was working and covering all our expenses. They spent a large sum on our wedding and demanded expensive gifts like a TV and motorcycle. He was even accused of a serious crime, which was settled through bribery and threats. They took a hefty amount and my mother’s jewellery under the guise of a compromise. He then secretly married another woman. I’ve filed cases against him for domestic violence, adultery, and maintenance, but he’s using his profession to manipulate the legal system and isn’t granting me a divorce. He’s also threatening me and my family, and even filed false charges against my brothers. The police and lawyers seem biased in his favour. How can I stand up for myself against all of this injustice?

You can file a case for annulment based on fraudulent misrepresentation, seek a protection order against threats and harassment, and request legal aid if you face financial constraints. Additionally, consider approaching the Bar Council or higher authorities if you perceive bias in the legal system.
