My girlfriend and I were together since June 2014, and we even went on a honeymoon. But three months ago, her father arranged a marriage for her with another man, and she got engaged. Her parents know about our relationship, and my family is supportive. However, they are not helping, and her family, the other guy, and she herself have verbally abused me, threatening to file a police case if I ever contact her again. I don’t have a marriage certificate, but I have other evidence of our relationship. What can I do to get her back?

Under Indian law, you cannot legally force your girlfriend to be with you. Your relationship, even with evidence, does not constitute a marriage or legal claim to her. You cannot compel her to leave her engagement or force her to be with you. Your best course of action is to respect her decision and move on.
