My family, including three brothers, their wives, children, and my mother, lived together. I moved out a year ago after receiving my share of the property. I now live with my youngest brother, his wife, and their children. However, he struggles with alcohol addiction and has been in rehab several times. His wife can be aggressive and manipulative. Recently, my mother came to live with me, saying she couldn’t stay with them anymore because of the constant fighting and threats of suicide. The youngest brother’s wife blames us for their problems. We work in the same office, but live separately. Is there any legal action the police could take against us given these circumstances?

The police cannot take legal action against you based on the information provided. Your family dynamics, including disagreements and accusations, are not criminal matters. Unless specific crimes are committed, like violence or threats, the police are unlikely to intervene. It is advisable to focus on resolving family issues through mediation or counseling.
