Under Indian law, you have the right to seek maintenance for yourself and your children. Your son has a right to maintenance and can inherit a share of the house property even though it’s in your father-in-law’s name. The rental income can be considered for determining maintenance amounts. You should consult a lawyer for specific advice regarding your situation.
