I’m a Hindu woman from Maharashtra. In 2012, I married a man from the same caste in Madhya Pradesh. We were from different backgrounds and faced cultural differences, leading to our separation within two months of marriage. We signed a separation agreement on stamp paper before going to the village council. Both of us moved on with our lives. He remarried and has a child.
In 2016, I married another man from a similar background. He was also divorced and had a court-ordered decree. Our wedding was a traditional Hindu ceremony. However, I soon discovered he had serious health problems, including liver issues, low blood platelet count, severe vitamin deficiencies, and an inability to maintain a normal physical relationship. He also stopped working and relied on rental income. He admits he concealed these issues from me. We have been living separately since December 2016.
What are my legal options to end this marriage?

Under Indian law, you can file for divorce on grounds of fraud and concealment of material facts (health issues) by your husband before marriage. The separation agreement with your previous husband is not legally binding in this case. The village council agreement is also not legally recognized.
