I filed a domestic violence case against my husband. After he apologized and asked for forgiveness, I decided to withdraw the case. I went to the High Court, submitted a document saying we had resolved things, and asked them to dismiss the case. But now, he’s ignoring me and won’t take me back home. What can I do? Can I take back the case now? Should I tell the court what happened? I’m really upset because the accusations were true, and I trusted his apology.

You can’t simply withdraw a domestic violence case once filed in court. The High Court, even after receiving your request, might continue the case to ensure your safety. It’s crucial to inform the court of the changed circumstances and your husband’s refusal to fulfill the reconciliation agreement. You have the right to seek protection and address the ongoing issues with the court’s help.
