I filed a domestic violence and dowry case at the women’s cell, but mediation failed. My case was transferred to Tis Hazari, where an FIR was registered under sections 498A and 377 of the IPC. Can my Investigating Officer arrest my husband under section 377 without senior permission, as the FIR is already registered?

Under Indian law, an arrest under Section 377 of the IPC can only be made with prior permission from a senior police officer, even if an FIR has been registered. The Investigating Officer cannot arrest your husband under Section 377 without this authorization.
