Namaste! I got married a few months ago. Sadly, my in-laws and husband have been making life difficult for me. We separated after a couple of months due to this harassment. My husband wants a mutual divorce, and I’m looking for a quick and hassle-free solution. I work full-time and don’t have the time for lengthy legal proceedings. Could you please guide me on the divorce procedure?

In India, a mutual divorce requires both parties’ consent and is initiated by filing a joint petition in court. You can explore options like mediation or a compromise agreement to speed up the process. However, even with a mutual consent, legal procedures are involved, and complete avoidance of legal proceedings is unlikely.
