Can a husband in India claim back the interim maintenance he paid his wife after her maintenance petition was dismissed?

In India, a husband can generally claim back interim maintenance paid to his wife only if it is proven that the wife obtained the maintenance by fraud or misrepresentation. He cannot claim it back simply because her petition was dismissed.
