I’m a CA student and got some CA video lectures from a friend. I posted an ad on Quikr to sell them, but now the lecturer is threatening to file an FIR against me for copyright violation under the IT Act. They claim I illegally downloaded the lectures, but I didn’t. What can I do?

You should immediately take down the ad and stop selling the lectures. While you may have legally obtained the lectures from a friend, selling them without the lecturer’s consent constitutes copyright infringement under the Indian Copyright Act.
