The person who encouraged the 15-year-old girl to attempt suicide could be charged under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and Section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, the Juvenile Justice Act could also apply due to the victim’s age.
