Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure deals with maintenance for wives, children, and parents, while Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code addresses the offense of cruelty by a husband or his relatives towards his wife. Section 125 is a civil remedy, while Section 498A is a criminal offense.
