My uncle, living in Shahdara, Delhi, has been falsely accused by a 16-year-old girl from Krishna Nagar. She claims he assaulted her on the road, filed a police report, and even got a medical examination done. We provided the police with CCTV footage from that day, both from our home and the girl’s, which clearly shows the accusation is false. Despite this evidence, the investigating officer hasn’t submitted his report to the court. The judge has ordered an FIR to be filed against my uncle. What can we do? He’s innocent, but can’t afford legal battles. Please advise on how we can fight this false accusation and get justice for him.

You can approach the High Court challenging the Magistrate’s order directing FIR registration. Since CCTV footage proves your uncle’s innocence, you can also file a complaint against the girl for false accusation under Section 182 of IPC. Additionally, seek legal aid from NGOs or pro-bono lawyers to reduce financial strain.
