My neighbour’s dal mill, operating next to my home for years, has been causing unbearable air and noise pollution. The constant vibrations and noise make living in my house difficult. I’ve sent numerous complaints to the state and central pollution control boards, as well as the Chief Minister’s grievance cell and the local municipal corporation via registered post last month. However, I haven’t received any response. What should I do next?

You can file a public interest litigation (PIL) in the National Green Tribunal (NGT) highlighting the environmental violations and lack of response from authorities. Additionally, you can consider approaching the local court for a restraining order against the dal mill’s operation pending the resolution of the matter.
