My mother, aged 40, and brother, 16, signed as witnesses on a property sale agreement dated April 7, 2014, worth ₹20 lakhs. The agreement, with a stamp duty of ₹500, was not prepared by me. However, my father, taking advantage of my trust, secretly withdrew the original document and forged my signature. He is now attempting to transfer the property to his new wife.

Your father’s act of forging your signature and attempting to transfer the property is a serious crime under Indian law. You can file a police complaint for forgery and cheating, and seek legal assistance to challenge the transfer and reclaim your rightful share of the property.
