My friend and I started a private limited company in Bihar. We took a loan against a mortgaged property to build a factory. The land owner and her son became directors in our company. After the factory started, the land owner began threatening and harassing us. We’re not from Bihar, so we felt helpless. They even barred us from the factory. We filed a complaint last August but haven’t seen any progress. Now, they’ve filed a criminal case against us. Should I file a counter-case?

You should consult with a lawyer immediately. Filing a counter-case may be advisable, especially if they are fabricating charges. However, you need legal guidance to navigate the situation, understand your rights under the Companies Act, 2013, and address the alleged harassment and threats.
