You can write a letter to the police expressing concern about suspicious activity, mentioning the duration of your residence, the nature of the intrusion (e.g., people watching your house, asking personal questions), and the potential threat to your safety. Request increased patrolling in your area without disclosing your name or the names of your neighbors for their protection.
