I’ve been convicted in a lower court for a year based on just one witness, who happens to be a friend of the person who filed the case against me. I didn’t say anything in my defense and appealed the decision. I have some video and audio clips that could prove my innocence, but my lawyer says it’s too late to submit them. These clips show the police officer, the investigator, and the person who accused me, all involved in something suspicious. What can I do now?

Based on Indian law, you have the right to present evidence even during an appeal. While your lawyer’s advice should be considered, you can seek a second opinion from another lawyer. They can advise on the admissibility of your evidence and how to best present it to the higher court.
