You should immediately consult a lawyer. You were pressured into making a settlement without proper investigation and documentation. It’s crucial to understand your legal rights and options in this situation. Filing a police complaint and/or pursuing legal action against the individuals who misused the funds could protect you from further financial burden and legal liability.
