Living away from family for most of the year is a tough reality for many working in PSUs. I spend about 280 days out of the year on tours, often even more. My wife is finding it incredibly difficult, and I understand her desire for a more stable life. Is there any Indian law or Supreme Court ruling that recognizes a right to spend more time with family, or guarantees a minimum amount of time at home?

Indian law does not explicitly recognize a right to spend more time with family or guarantee a minimum amount of time at home. However, the Supreme Court has recognized the importance of family life and has ruled in favor of employees seeking reasonable time off for family emergencies or personal reasons.
