My trademark application includes both a word mark and a separate logo. The logo doesn’t show the word mark. The examiner has objected, saying my application has more than one mark. Should I add the word mark as text above or below the logo image in the TM-16 form to address this?

Under Indian law, a single trademark application can cover multiple marks only if they are “connected” in a way that they function as a single commercial unit. Adding the word mark to the logo image in the TM-16 form might be interpreted as two separate marks, not a single connected unit. It’s best to consult a trademark attorney to address the objection effectively and avoid further issues.
