My family and I bought a flat in Dharuhera from a builder using a subvention scheme and a loan from Indiabulls. The builder promised to pay our EMIs on time, but they haven’t for several months. The construction is also way behind schedule. I’ve tried everything to get them to act, but nothing seems to work. Should I consider taking legal action against them? If so, how would I go about it?

Yes, you should consider taking legal action against the builder. You can file a complaint with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) in Haryana for the delayed construction and non-payment of EMIs. You can also file a civil suit in the appropriate court for breach of contract and seek compensation for the builder’s negligence.
