My builder promised to hand over my flat in a new tower by last year, but hasn’t even started construction yet. Our agreement says he should pay compensation if the handover is delayed by more than 15 months, but he’s refusing. I’ve already paid half the price of the flat. Can I legally get my money back? Is this a breach of contract?
Best Answer
Yes, this is a breach of contract as the builder failed to meet the agreed upon handover date and is refusing to compensate you as per the agreement. You can legally seek to recover your money, including the half price you paid, through legal action, citing the breach of contract and the builder’s failure to comply with the terms of the agreement.
