I’ve filed a medical negligence case in the UP SCDRC for around 1 crore rupees, but I need to increase the compensation amount. How can I move this case to the NCDRC? Could you explain the process involved? Thanks for your help.

You cannot directly move your case from the UP SCDRC to the NCDRC. The NCDRC has original jurisdiction in cases exceeding Rs. 20 lakhs. You can file a fresh case in the NCDRC, but you need to ensure the case meets the NCDRC’s pecuniary jurisdiction and the UP SCDRC has not already pronounced a final order.
