Now, a collection agency is harassing my family and friends, accusing me of fraud. What can I do in this situation?

You can file a complaint with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) against Idea for incorrect billing and harassment by the collection agency. You can also seek legal recourse, as harassing your family and friends constitutes illegal debt recovery practices.
