I’m from Bangalore and ordered an AC from Flipkart for my family home in Bankura, West Bengal. Due to a long delay, I had to cancel the order before receiving it. I paid online, but Flipkart hasn’t refunded my money. They’re based in Bangalore, but have no office in Bankura. Should I file a complaint with the Consumer Forum in Bangalore or Bankura? Can I also sue for compensation, even if I eventually get a refund, for the hassle I faced? This seems to be a common issue with Flipkart.

You can also seek compensation for the hassle caused by the delay and cancellation, even if you get a refund eventually, as the Consumer Protection Act allows for compensation for mental distress and inconvenience.
