I recently received an allotment for a B-type dwelling unit from the Indian Welfare Organisation (IRWO) in Chennai. The brochure mentioned an open car parking space, but the approved plan shows only a two-wheeler parking spot. IRWO’s rules require arbitration for disputes, with further legal action only possible in Delhi. Their head office is in Delhi, but they have a branch in Chennai. Unfortunately, they haven’t responded to my letters. What should I do in this situation?

You should send a legal notice to IRWO’s Chennai branch demanding the allocated car parking space as per the brochure. If they fail to respond, you can file a case in a Chennai court, challenging their decision and the arbitration clause, citing inconvenience and the Chennai branch’s presence.
