I invested in a studio apartment at Earth Titanium project and paid the upfront amount, with the agreement that they would pay me a fixed return on my investment until possession. However, since September 2015, they haven’t sent the promised cheques. In January 2016, they emailed stating they couldn’t fulfil the agreed return due to market conditions and offered a 15% discount. I refused this and demanded they honour their commitment until possession. They haven’t refunded my money and are pressuring me to accept their offer. How can I get my money back from the builder?

You have a strong case for legal action as the builder’s failure to honour the agreed return constitutes a breach of contract. You can file a consumer complaint with the consumer forum or sue the builder in a civil court seeking a refund of your investment and compensation for the breach.
