I completed my PGDM course in 2012, paying a total of ₹6 lakh (including ₹1 lakh hostel fees). I was unable to pay the final ₹50,000 due to a sudden financial crisis in my final year. Now, I’ve managed to arrange the remaining amount, but the college refuses to award my degree, citing it’s been over five years. Is there any way to appeal this decision and receive my PGDM degree?

While the college’s refusal to award the degree after five years may seem unfair, there is no legal precedent or specific Indian law that compels them to do so. However, you can still attempt to appeal the decision by presenting your financial hardship and demonstrating your willingness to pay the outstanding amount, potentially through a formal appeal process or negotiations with the college authorities.
