I bought a new Xiaomi phone on June 2nd, 2016. It broke down, so I took it to the service center on July 2nd, 2016 for repair. It’s been over a month, and I haven’t heard back. I’ve visited the service center several times, but they haven’t provided any updates. I even filed a complaint with customer care on July 26th and followed up three times, but there’s still no response. What should I do now?

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you can file a formal complaint with the Consumer Forum. Since the phone is beyond the reasonable repair timeframe, you can also demand a replacement or a refund. You can also escalate the issue to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) for assistance.
