I booked a car with a company in February 2016. The estimated six-month waiting period ended in July, but they still haven’t given me a firm delivery date. They’re only offering to cancel my booking. When I call customer care, they say the distributor is not registered with them. What should I do?

You should first send a legal notice demanding delivery of the car within a reasonable timeframe, citing the delay and the company’s failure to provide a firm delivery date. If the company fails to respond or provide a satisfactory solution, you can file a consumer complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or approach a civil court for breach of contract.
