As a loyal Vodafone customer for three years, I switched from prepaid to postpaid in August 2014. For the past six months, I’ve been trying to revert to prepaid, but every time I visit a store or call customer care, they give me a different excuse. Last month, I paid my postpaid bill, but the store representative didn’t update it. Despite showing them my receipt and emailing Vodafone, my SIM got deactivated. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’m considering filing a complaint in the Consumer Court against Vodafone. What are my options?

Based on Indian consumer laws, you have the right to switch back to a prepaid plan and can file a complaint with the Consumer Forum. You can also approach the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to resolve the issue. Your complaint should include details of the inconvenience caused due to Vodafone’s negligence and the lack of service provided.
