Respected Sir/Madam,
I’ve been serving in the CISF for the past 18 months. I was selected in the 2011-12 batch but my candidature was initially cancelled due to a past legal matter. After a successful legal challenge, I was reinstated and allotted seniority with my 2011-12 batchmates. However, I’m concerned about promotions. My batchmates are being promoted quickly, but my 5 years of service haven’t been completed yet. Will I be eligible for promotion in this situation?

As per the CISF Recruitment Rules, your seniority is restored based on your initial batch (2011-12). However, your promotion eligibility is determined by the completion of 5 years of continuous service, which you haven’t yet achieved. You will be eligible for promotion once you complete 5 years of service, regardless of your initial selection date.
