Under Indian law, the legal age for marriage is 18 for females and 21 for males. You are both of legal age to marry. However, your girlfriend’s parents’ concerns regarding your age and family backgrounds are valid. You should try to address their concerns and build a strong relationship with them. You can also seek legal advice to understand your options and rights regarding marriage.
