My younger sister claims a share in our family property and cash, but I have no proof I gave her anything. My elder sister is willing to testify that she received her share when she got married and none of us have any claim to the assets, which belong solely to our brother. My father bought some of the assets directly, and others came from our grandfather. What do you think the court will decide in this situation?

The court will likely consider your father’s purchase of assets as his personal property. However, assets inherited from your grandfather would likely be considered ancestral property, in which your sister could claim a share. The testimony of your elder sister will be considered, but its weight will depend on the specific circumstances.
