My lawyer told me the court decided to proceed with the case without my lawyer being present. They say I didn’t show up for the questioning of the witness, so I lost my chance to ask them questions. Now the court is going to decide the case on July 21st. What can I do to fight this decision? I need help understanding my options.

You have a right to be represented by a lawyer in court. Contact your lawyer immediately to discuss why they weren’t present at the witness questioning. You may be able to file an appeal or request a new hearing if there were valid reasons for their absence or if you were not properly notified about the hearing.
