It’s unlikely a complaint would be successful against you or the owner based on the facts provided. Your friend’s fall appears to be an accident and his mother’s claim for compensation would likely be unsuccessful as you both were working on the installation. The CCTV footage could be used to demonstrate the lack of negligence on your part and the owner’s.
