My college is refusing to let me fill the exam form because of a small outstanding fee. Is there any law that protects students in this situation? I’ve already paid 60,000 rupees, only 15,000 is left. They are charging 3,000 rupees as late fees. Please advise.

Indian law doesn’t explicitly state that colleges cannot withhold exam forms for outstanding fees. However, the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines emphasize fairness and discourage such practices. It’s advisable to discuss the matter with the college authorities, highlighting your partial payment and seeking a reasonable solution.
