Yes, Arya Samaj marriages are legally valid in India under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. While the Arya Samaj ceremony is valid, registration under the Special Marriage Act is mandatory for legal recognition and to avoid any future complications. You must submit a notice of intended marriage to the Marriage Registrar at least 30 days before the ceremony and comply with the required procedures for registration.
