As I can’t travel to India for the case, I need to appoint a lawyer through a Power of Attorney. Do I need to use stamp paper for this Power of Attorney and if so, what value? Also, does it need to be notarized or attested?

Yes, the Power of Attorney (POA) needs to be on stamp paper, the value of which depends on the jurisdiction where the POA is executed. It’s advisable to get the POA notarized or attested by a relevant authority in Dubai to ensure its validity in Indian courts.
