I passed my 10th board exam in 2002 from the National Open School. My date of birth is incorrectly mentioned as 1985 on my 10th certificate, but my correct date of birth is 1988. I have my MCD birth certificate and SDM records which both state 1988 as my birth year. However, the NOS officials are asking for a court order to rectify the date of birth on my certificate. What should I do? Can you advise me on the next steps?

You can file a petition in a civil court for rectification of the date of birth on your 10th certificate. Present your MCD birth certificate and SDM records as evidence. The court can order the National Open School to issue a corrected certificate based on these documents.
