Dear Sir,
My name is Dinesh Kumar. I have two brothers and two sisters. Our father passed away in 1992. My younger brother inherited our father’s job. I would appreciate guidance on how the family property should be divided. Do my sisters have a right to a share of the property? Since my younger brother received the job, is he still entitled to a share of the property?

Under Indian law, your sisters are entitled to a share of the property, as are you and your other brother. Your younger brother’s inheritance of your father’s job does not affect his entitlement to a share of the property.
