Dear Sir,
I signed a contract with an IT firm in November 2015 for developing an Android and iOS app. They promised delivery by February 2016, but unfortunately, the app is still not ready. Due to this delay, I lost a potential business deal worth ₹12 lakhs and have also paid them 75%, that is ₹2,00,000 in advance.
Could you please advise on which legal sections I can use to file a complaint against them?

You can file a complaint against the IT firm under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, for breach of contract. You can also claim damages for the lost business deal and the advance payment made. The specific sections applicable depend on the specific terms of the contract, but Sections 73, 74, and 19A are relevant.
